New point of contact for integration at Gründau Town Hall

The municipality of Gründau has successfully applied for one of 41 integration guide positions with the state of Hesse. As of February 1, 2026, the position of integration guide within the „KISI“ (Municipal Integration Guides for Strengthening Integration Success) project could be filled by the new employee, Melanie Felden. With her professional experience and personal commitment from over ten years of volunteer work in integration, as well as six years of professional experience as a social worker for refugees, she brings the necessary expertise.

The project aims to strengthen municipal integration successes and promote coexistence between the immigrant and local populations. Because a good arrival and active participation in social life are important not only for the people who come to Gründau, but for society as a whole – in the sense of good living together, but also with regard to the increasing demand for skilled workers.

With the new position, the municipality of Gründau is creating a central point of contact in the town hall. Integration guide Melanie Felden will accompany third-country nationals step by step as they settle in Germany and support them with questions about life in the community.

She is also looking forward to everyone who is already involved in integration work or wishes to get involved as a volunteer in the future to actively shape coexistence in our community.

Appointments can be made via the homepage of the municipality of Gründau. The consultation will take place in room 10 on the ground floor of the town hall. The contact person, Melanie Felden, can also be reached by phone at 01511-5522027 and by email at melanie.felden@gruendau.de.

The position is funded as part of the KISI (Municipal Integration Guides for Strengthening Integration Success) support program, which is co-financed by the European Union and the State of Hesse.
