• Apply for domestic help for statutory health insurance policyholders during pregnancy and after childbirth

  If you are unable to run your household due to a pregnancy or childbirth, you are entitled to domestic help under certain conditions. You apply for this from your statutory health insurance fund.

• Applying for maternity benefit as a statutory health insurance policyholder

  If you become a mother, you can receive maternity benefit. Even after a miscarriage from the 13th week of pregnancy onwards, there is an entitlement to maternity benefit, provided that maternity leave is taken.

• Apply for maternity benefit as a privately insured person or as a family-insured member of a statutory health insurance fund

  As an expectant mother, you can apply for maternity benefit (Mutterschaftsgeld) from the Federal Social Insurance Office (BAS) for the period of your statutory protection periods before and after childbirth, as well as for the day of delivery. To do this, you must meet certain requirements.
