Registration in the matrimonial property register

If you have concluded a marriage contract, you can have the chosen matrimonial property regime entered in the register of matrimonial property rights.

By means of a marriage contract, you can terminate or modify the statutory property regime of the community of accrued gains. For this purpose, please consult a notary. The notary must authenticate your marriage contract in the simultaneous presence of both spouses. You can have the agreed property regimes of separation of property or community of property, or their termination, entered in the register of property rights. Furthermore, you can restrict or exclude your spouse's authority to conduct business with effect for you. The application must be submitted by you and your spouse in a notarized form. Registration is required so that others respect your property regime and the arrangements made.
