External vocational training is an alternative to in-company training if you have not yet found an apprenticeship and have no perspective on how things should proceed in the future.
An out-of-company vocational training is also an option for you if your in-company or out-of-company vocational training was terminated prematurely and starting an in-company vocational training is currently not possible even with additional support. You can then continue your training with a training provider. The training period completed so far will – if possible – be taken into account.
In this context, it generally does not matter how old you are.

You should therefore contact the Employment Agency as early as possible before the start of the out-of-company vocational training to participate. Before the training begins, you sign a training contract with the training provider, which also sets a fixed timeframe for the duration of the training.
