DAAD, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, or International Sustainability Campus can currently apply for funding for vocational education and training projects from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Description

The funding is intended to support students, higher education institutions, or teachers and researchers at higher education institutions. Eligible projects must have a development policy focus and promote vocational education and training.
The organizations eligible for funding in the respective fiscal year are listed in the federal budget. Since this is passed annually, changes are possible.

Procedure

You can apply for funding for vocational education and training in development cooperation by mail or online.

If you want to apply for funding by mail:

  • You are discussing your project with the BMZ.
  • You send your application with all required documents by mail to the BMZ.
  • The BMZ is reviewing your documents.
  • If necessary, the BMZ will request further documents from you.
  • If the funding is approved, you will receive a funding notice from the BMZ by mail.

If you want to apply for the funding online:

  • You are discussing your project with the BMZ.
  • Access the federal portal and fill out the application online.
  • Upload the required documents and submit the application.
  • The BMZ is reviewing your documents.
  • If necessary, the BMZ will request further documents from you.
  • If the funding is approved, you will receive a grant notification from the BMZ.
