• Applying for a passport abroad

  If you live abroad, you can apply for your German passport in person at a German diplomatic mission abroad or, in some countries, also with an honorary consul.

• Apply for a seafarer's identity document

  If you work or intend to work professionally in maritime shipping, you can apply for proof in the form of a seafarer's identity document under certain conditions.

• Applying for an identity card for German citizens with a permanent residence or habitual abode abroad

  If you live or usually reside abroad, you can apply for your identity card in person at a German diplomatic mission abroad or, in some countries, also with a consular officer of an honorary consul.

• Travel documents

  Here you will find information on your rights and obligations when traveling abroad, as well as necessary travel documents for minors and the loss or expiration of travel documents.

• Apply to take an amateur radio exam

  You can apply to take the amateur radio exam with the Federal Network Agency.

• Apply for the issuance of an amateur radio examination certificate or an amateur radio operator's certificate

  With a passed amateur radio examination, you can apply for an amateur radio examination certificate or an amateur radio license.

• Apply for amateur radio licensing

  You can apply for your authorization to participate in the amateur radio service at the Federal Network Agency.

• Apply for an aircraft station licence

  If you wish to participate in the aeronautical and aeronautical radio navigation service, the BNetzA will assign you the call sign upon application with the Aircraft Station Licence. In addition, you must report changes, for example to the owner's address or the radio equipment.

• Apply for a call sign for recreational or commercial shipping (Ship Station Licence)

  Upon application, the Federal Network Agency allocates numbers for recreational and commercial shipping in the form of a Ship Station Licence. You must also report certain changes.

• Report radio interference

  If you suspect radio interference, you can report it to the monitoring and measurement service of the Federal Network Agency.
