Notify the Künstlersozialkasse of the change in personal data

If your personal data changes, you must inform the Künstlersozialkasse. You should also notify the Künstlersozialkasse if your contact details change or are extended.

For the implementation of your insurance, the Künstlersozialkasse always requires your current data.

Insofar as you are insured or eligible for subsidies as an artist or publicist working on a freelance basis via the Künstlersozialkasse, the Künstlersozialkasse stores your personal data to the extent necessary for the implementation and processing of your compulsory social security insurance.

These include, among others:

• First and last name
• Stage name
• Date of birth
• Gender
• Address
• Bank details
• if applicable, SEPA direct debit mandate data
• Parental status
• other contact information

If your contact details change, for example due to a move, please inform the Künstlersozialkasse.

You can also inform the Künstlersozialkasse if your contact details are expanded: for example, by providing a mobile phone number in addition to your landline number.

A date of death must also be reported to the Künstlersozialkasse.

Your data will be used for communication with you, but also for the necessary data exchange with other authorities, service providers, or banks.

Online message: 

• Access the online form on the federal portal verwaltung.bund.de. This will guide you step by step through the necessary information, which you can enter electronically.
• Note: You need a valid ELSTER certificate to log in to the online form. Alternatively, you can use your electronic ID document.
• You will need approximately 10 minutes to complete the online application.
• First, select your request.
• Selecting this option will provide you with general information regarding your inquiry.
• Enter your personal details, including your insurance number. You can find this in the top right corner of the letters from the Künstlersozialkasse.
• You then provide the details regarding your request and upload any necessary documents.

Notification by mail:

• If your address has changed: Fill out the PDF form "New Address" on the Artists' Social Security Fund website.
• If you would like to issue a SEPA direct debit mandate: Fill out the PDF form "SEPA-Lastschriftmandat Versicherte" on the website of the Künstlersozialkasse.
• If you are a self-payer and your bank details have changed: Fill out the PDF form "Change of bank details" on the Künstlersozialkasse website.
• If you wish to submit a notification regarding your status as a parent: Fill out the PDF form "Mitteilung/Nachweis über die Elterneigenschaft" on the website of the Künstlersozialkasse.
• Please also include your insurance number. You can find it in the upper right corner of the letters from the Artists' Social Insurance Fund.
• Print out the completed PDF form.
• If you cannot find a notification form for your request on the Künstlersozialkasse website, please briefly inform us of your request in an informal message, stating your insurance number.
• Sign the form or your message and feel free to enclose supplementary or the required documents.
• Send everything together to the Künstlersozialkasse.

The Künstlersozialkasse will review your information and update your data. Depending on the type of change, you may receive written confirmation of the modification.

Should you have any questions or require further documents, the Künstlersozialkasse will contact you by mail.

Please communicate the change as soon as possible to avoid any disadvantages. This applies in particular to the notification of having children.
