State and municipal agencies responsible for disaster response can request support from the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) as part of administrative assistance (request for administrative assistance). Other demand carriers can request technical support from the THW.
The Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) has technical equipment and expert personnel for special deployment and disaster situations.
If personnel, technical, or logistical support is needed, the municipal and state authorities responsible for disaster response and hazard control, in particular, can request technical support from the THW. This is generally done through the responsible control center.
The THW is structured and organized uniformly throughout the federal territory. Contact persons are available at all levels. Missions are also conceivable in which the THW sets up its own command post (for example, when a separate operational section is assigned to the THW). If required, the THW dispatches professionally qualified advisory personnel to the staffs of the authorities responsible for disaster response and to the operational management.
Such a thing is decided depending on the specific operational situation and should not be anticipated in a service specification.
If the Federal Agency for Technical Relief is to support other authorities and agencies, this is generally done through administrative assistance. To request support from the THW, authorities and responsible bodies can either contact the THW directly or get in touch via the local fire department control center.
There is no deadline.
The THW may charge fees and/or expenses for THW deployments in accordance with the applicable THW Remuneration Ordinance (THWAbrV).
