Request a pension information statement

If you would like information about your future pension entitlements and when you can start drawing your pension, you can request this informally at any time.

The pension information contains

• Information on the expected amount of your statutory old-age pension,
• a forecast of the pension you will receive if you continue working,
• Information on the amount of your reduced earning capacity pension,
• Information on the earliest possible retirement date for early retirement pensions, including details on pension deductions,
• Information on the widow's or widower's pension that your partner receives if you die,
• Information on the contributions previously paid to the statutory pension insurance scheme,
• among other things, notes and information on the requirements for all types of old-age pensions, pension applications, additional income, the insurance history, private retirement provision, taxation, information and consultation options, and health insurance for pensioners,
• if no account clarification has been carried out yet: information on which periods have not yet been clarified (these are periods for which the pension insurance provider does not know whether they can be taken into account for your future pension),
• an overview of the stored insurance periods,
• an overview of the values and factors used to calculate your personal earnings points and your standard old-age pension.

Note:
The pension information (often also referred to as a "pension notice"), which you receive every year from the age of 27, is not the same as the pension statement. The pension statement provides very comprehensive information about additional pension claims. As soon as you turn 55, you automatically receive a pension statement every 3 years instead of the pension information. However, you can also request the statement if you are younger.
 

If you would like to receive a pension statement by mail:

• Go to the German Pension Insurance website and first click on "Online Services" in the top right corner.
• Select "Online services without registration" or go directly to "Request insurance documents".
• In the "Request from..." field, select "Pension information" and enter the remaining data.
• Click "Submit".
• You will receive your pension information by mail.

If you want to receive the pension information online:

• Now go to the website of the German Pension Insurance and click on "Online-Dienste" in the top right corner, and then on "Online-Dienste mit Registrierung".
• Follow the instructions to gain access to the online services of the German statutory pension insurance scheme. 
• Alternatively, you can also request the pension information by phone or in writing from your competent pension insurance provider.
