If your daughter or son dies as a result of an occupational accident, a commuting accident, or an occupational disease, you may receive a parent's pension under certain conditions.
The agricultural trade association pays you as a parent a regular parent's pension in the event of the death of your child as a result of an insured event (work-related or commuting accident, occupational disease).
This applies to
The prerequisite is that the deceased person provided for your maintenance or would have provided for it in the future.
You will receive the parents' pension for as long as you would have been entitled to maintenance due to financial need from the deceased person, had the insured event not occurred.
The pension amount is:
of the annual earnings (salary and other forms of earnings such as bonuses or holiday pay) of the deceased person.
If you as a couple receive the parental pension and your wife or husband dies, you will not immediately receive the single-parent pension (20 percent). Instead, in this case, you will continue to receive the amount for a couple (30 percent) for 3 months.
An independent income is not offset against the parents' pension.
The benefits of the agricultural accident insurance are generally provided ex officio. Therefore, you do not need to submit an application.
The agricultural professional association informs you to enable you to register your claims.
You do not have to meet any deadlines.
There are no costs for you.
