Apply for a change of the entry in the microlight aircraft register

If you purchase a used ultralight aircraft requiring registration, you must report this.

Im Luftsportgeräteverzeichnis werden die Daten aller im Inland zugelassenen Ultraleichtflugsportgeräte (UL) gespeichert. ULs sind:

• Ultraleichtflugzeuge,
• Ultraleichthubschrauber und
• Tragschrauber gespeichert.

Wenn Sie ein zulassungspflichtiges Gebrauchtgerät erwerben, müssen Sie dies bei Ihrem Luftsportverband melden. 

Anders als bei Neugeräten, müssen Sie ein bereits zugelassenes Gebrauchtgerät nicht nochmal registrieren lassen, sondern nur die Änderungen im Luftsportgeräteverzeichnis beantragen.

Ebenso müssen Sie mitteilen, wenn sich Ihre persönlichen Angaben wie Wohnsitz und Name ändern.

Das Luftsportgerät wird dann auf Ihren Besitz umgeschrieben und der Eintrag im Luftsportgeräteverzeichnis geändert. 

Zu den Ultraleichtflugsportgeräten mit Zulassungspflicht zählen Dreiachser, Trikes, Tragschrauber und Motorschirm-Trike mit einer Leermasse über 120 Kilogramm. 

Personal data such as the name and address of the owner as well as technical data, for example:

• Type and model of the aircraft as well as the airframe serial number,
• nationality and registration marks of the aircraft and
• the sheet number of the aircraft register.

Under special circumstances, German authorities can access your data. This applies:

• for administrative measures in the field of air traffic,
• for the prosecution of violations of aviation regulations or
• for the prosecution of criminal offences or the prevention of threats to public safety.

You must carry the certificate of registration with you when operating your aircraft.

Die Änderung im Luftsportgeräteverzeichnis müssen Sie schriftlich per Post oder per E-Mail beantragen: 

• Print out the application form on the website of the authorized aviation sports associations and fill it out completely. 
• Please send the application form along with the required documents either 
  • by mail or 
  • per E-Mail an die Adresse Ihres zuständigen Luftsportverbands.
• Provided your application is complete, you will receive a registration certificate by mail.

There is no deadline.
