Taxes and deductions for employees

• Apply for reimbursement of social security contributions as a supplementary benefit to seasonal short-time allowance

  If your company receives seasonal short-time allowance for employees, you can, under certain conditions, additionally have the social security contributions reimbursed for these employees.

• Apply for voluntary status clarification

  If you want to check whether you are self-employed or in dependent employment, you can submit an application to determine your employment status.

• Apply for mandatory status clarification for working family members or managing shareholders

  According to the registration, if a specific family relationship exists between you and your employer, or if you are a managing partner, the procedure for clarifying your employment status will be automatically initiated with the clearing house.

• Register or re-register a company with the Artists' Social Security Fund

  If you operate a company that is subject to levies, you must register your company with the Künstlersozialkasse.

• File an objection against the assessment notice for the artists' social security contribution obligation after registering with the Artists' Social Security Fund

  The Künstlersozialkasse has determined that your company is subject to the artists' social security contribution. You do not agree with this and can lodge an objection against it.

• Verify the obligation to pay artists' social security contributions on payments to shareholders

  If your shareholder works for you in an artistic or journalistic capacity, you may be required to pay artists' social security contributions on their remuneration under certain conditions.

• Notify the Künstlersozialkasse of changes to the company's basic data

  You must inform the Künstlersozialkasse if your company's contact details change. You should also notify the Künstlersozialkasse if your contact details expand.

• Notify the Künstlersozialkasse of changes in legal circumstances

  If the legal status of your company changes, you must inform the Künstlersozialkasse. The change may affect your liability to pay contributions.

• Notify the artists' social insurance fund (Künstlersozialkasse) of a change in the company's activities

  If your company operates in a different industry or the company's activities change, you must inform the Künstlersozialkasse.

• Change artists' social security contribution report

  If your previous earnings report is incorrect, you must inform the Künstlersozialkasse and correct your report.
