Gültigkeitsgebiet: Hessen

Online erledigen

Quick info

If you wish to store explosive substances, e.g., explosives, fireworks, or other pyrotechnic items, you require a storage permit pursuant to Section 17 of the Explosives Act.

Description

As a general rule, a permit under the Explosives Act (SprengG) is required for the storage of explosive substances. The only exceptions to this are small quantities.

Both require a permit

  • the construction and operation of warehouses in which explosive substances are to be stored, as well as
  • the substantial modification of the nature or operation of such warehouses.

The approval also includes further official decisions regarding storage, in particular building law regulations.

The approval may be subject to substantive restrictions and conditions to the extent necessary to ensure, in particular, precautions against hazards to life, health, and property. The subsequent modification and supplementation of conditions are permissible.

Procedure

  • To obtain it, you must submit an application and submit all necessary documents.

  • The documents will then be reviewed by the competent authority and, if necessary, other authorities (e.g., building authority, environmental authority) will be involved.

  • If there are any questions or ambiguities, the authority will contact you and, if necessary, invite you to a personal interview.

  • After reviewing the documents, you will receive a notification of the decision, the approval certificate, and a fee notice with a request for payment.
