Turn assist systems monitor the area on the right side of a vehicle when making a right turn. If a pedestrian is there, for example, the driver is warned. These systems are also called turn assistants and are intended to increase traffic safety.
You can apply for the grant (funding) for turn assist systems in motor vehicles at the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM).
Applications may be submitted by:
Funded are:
System costs include the costs for the turn assistant system including the required cabling.
External installation costs include the costs for installing the system as well as the costs for the technical inspection and entry in the registration certificate part I.
You will receive the funding as partial financing. This means you will receive the money in the form of a non-repayable grant. You may not begin installing the turn assist system until after you have submitted the application.
The grant amounts to a maximum of 80 percent of the eligible expenses. The maximum is 1,500 EUR per individual measure. A maximum of 10 individual measures per year are eligible for funding for each eligible person. Exceptions and all further details are governed by the funding guidelines for equipping motor vehicles with turning assistant systems.
You submit your application online to the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM).
There are no costs.
