Terminate foreign insurance with the statutory accident insurance

If employees return early after temporary work abroad, you as an employer must report this to the accident insurance.

If your employees work temporarily abroad for your company and return from abroad, the foreign insurance coverage of the statutory accident insurance also ends at the time of their return.

If the foreign assignment ends, whether prematurely or at the previously reported time, you must report this to your competent employers' liability insurance association or the Unfallversicherung Bund und Bahn.

• Select your responsible professional association or accident insurance institution or find it using the industry search.
• Upload the required documents.
• Fill out the online form and submit it.
• Your report will be automatically forwarded to your trade association or accident insurance institution.
• You will receive feedback via your preferred method.

Online service of your statutory accident insurance institution:

• If you have access to the portal of your employers' liability insurance association or accident insurance fund, you may also be able to submit the report electronically there.

Message by mail:

• Contact your professional association or accident insurance fund with an informal letter.
• Pay attention to the required details and enclose the necessary documents.
