Apply to the Federal Railway Authority for the provision of an electronic file for inspection

Are you involved in administrative proceedings with the Federal Railway Authority (EBA) and need access to your case files? Then you can apply for file inspection with the EBA.

If you are involved in administrative proceedings directly or as an authorized representative and wish to inspect the documents of the initial proceedings, for example to substantiate your objection, you can apply to the Federal Railway Authority (Eisenbahn-Bundesamt – EBA) to do so. The EBA will provide you with the requested procedural documents in electronic form via the e-service portal. There, you can view, download, and save the PDF documents for one month. 
Only in exceptional cases can the EBA reject your application in whole or in part.

You can request electronic file inspection via an online service (for example, the IFG form of the federal portal) and by email, De-Mail, post, or fax:

Provision via online service (e-service "Electronic Access to Files"):

• You have received an email informing you that the requested documents (PDF files) have been made available to you in the "Electronic File Inspection" e-service, provided there are no legal reasons to the contrary. 
• Go to the EBA e-service portal. 
• Authenticate using your user account (ELSTER company account or BundID).
• You can generally access the documents for one month. You can also download the document during this time.

Requests by email, De-Mail, mail, or fax:

• Write an informal email or De-Mail to the EBA, or send an informal letter, dated and signed if possible, by mail or fax to the EBA.
• To the extent that no legal reasons prevent this, the EBA will make the requested files available to you as PDF files in the e-service portal, as described above. 
   

There is no deadline.
