If you wish to be engaged by a court, a notary public, or a civil law notary as translators (written translation) and interpreters (oral interpretation), you can have yourself generally authorized or generally sworn in accordance with the Hessian Interpreter and Translator Act. The generally authorized or generally sworn translators and interpreters are entered into an electronic directory (central interpreter and translator database).
You can apply in writing or online for general sworn certification as an interpreter or authorization as a translator.
There are no deadlines to observe.
