Special use of public traffic areas (roads, cycle paths, footpaths) for work and construction sites

Gültigkeitsgebiet: Hessen

Description

Setting up a work site or construction site on public traffic areas constitutes a special use requiring a permit. For this, a traffic regulation order and/or exemption permit and a road law special use permit are required.
Requires a permit, for example:.

  • General construction sites (demolition work, structural and civil engineering work, utility line work)
  • Construction trailer or crew/tool shacks
  • Construction fence
  • Material warehouse
  • Scaffolding
  • Skips and containers
  • Lifts
  • Mobile crane, construction crane, inclined lift, or cherry picker
  • Moves

Note on crane setup:

When using public traffic areas to set up construction cranes or mobile cranes, you must consult the respective utility companies before using the area.

Because whether any lines running through the area to be used can withstand the load, or whether important work or repairs need to be carried out, can only be assessed by the respective utility company.

To ensure timely processing of your application, it must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the planned start of the road use.
