Online erledigenIf you have given up or closed your business, you must inform the Künstlersozialkasse. The closure of your business leads to the termination of the obligation to pay artists' social security contributions.
If your company no longer exists, the obligation to pay contributions under the Artists' Social Security Act also ends.
The reason your company no longer exists, for example due to deletion, merger, or division, is not decisive for the termination. However, this may result in further audits by the Künstlersozialkasse if your legal successor is subject to the levy.
Even if your business is merely dormant, your filing obligation is generally not terminated, as your business still exists.
For the period until the complete cessation of operations, you must report the remuneration you have paid to independent contractors for artistic or journalistic works or services. The Künstlersozialkasse will use your report to prepare a final statement of the artists' social security contribution.
You can submit your request online or by mail.
