Apply for information from the location register for genetically modified organisms (non-public part)

You can apply for information from the non-public part of the location register for genetically modified organisms (GMOs) at the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety.

The location register for genetically modified organisms records all areas in Germany where GMOs are released for scientific purposes or cultivated for commercial purposes.

The site register consists of a public and a non-public part. The public part contains general, freely accessible information about the location and use of these areas. The non-public part also contains personal data such as names and addresses.

Für eine Auskunft aus dem nicht-öffentlichen Teil des Standortregisters müssen Sie einen Antrag stellen.

Hinweis: Den öffentlichen Teil des Standortregisters können Sie ohne Antrag einsehen (siehe auch „Standortregister für gentechnisch veränderte Organismen (öffentlicher Teil) einsehen).

Eine Auskunft aus dem Standortregister beantragen Sie schriftlich mit dem bereitstehenden Formular:

• Laden Sie das Formular online herunter und drucken Sie es aus.
• Fill out the form and attach the necessary documents.
• Reichen Sie die Antragsunterlagen beim Bundesamt für Verbraucherschutz und Lebensmittelsicherheit ein.
• Per Post erhalten Sie dann die gewünschten Angaben oder gegebenenfalls eine Information über die Ablehnung Ihres Antrags.
